Seattle (19-23-3) reached Tuesday’s final period in Pittsburgh down a single goal in front of goaltender Joey Daccord (31 saves).

Jamie Oleksiak and Eeli Tolvanen scored 49 seconds apart in the third period to erase a one-goal deficit and rally the Seattle Kraken past the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2.

Kakko's Icebreaker- With just under two minutes remaining in the third period, the Penguins pulled Jarry for an extra attacker, hoping to find the equalizer and force overtime. But instead, Seattle’s Kaapo Kakko sealed the deal, sending the puck into the empty net to give the Kraken the 4-2 win.

On Tuesday night, we saw the Seattle Kraken match up with the Pittsburgh Penguins for the first time this season. This was an interconference matchup, but a somewhat interesting one, considering both teams underperformed in the first half of the season and are looking to turn it around in the back half.
