Three suspects have been charged in connection to the death of a 16-year-old in Lincolnton, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office states that on Friday, Dec. 27, three suspect were charged with the murder of Edwin Morales,

They’re also being charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping. The sheriff’s office says Byrd and Isaiah Lipscomb were taken into custody on Friday, but Larue is still wanted. The sheriff’s office said the investigation is still ongoing.

The arrests come more than a week after the 16-year-old victim was found dead a mile from his home.
