People in Maryland continue celebrating the holiday season, with Hanukkah and Kwanzaa events across the Baltimore area to close out the year.

Christmas may be over, but there are still other cultural and religious celebrations taking place this week across the Delaware Valley.

At the Kwanzaa celebration, Sarno thanked the organizers for educating people about the meaning behind the African-American holiday started in 1966 as part of the civil rights movement and conferred awards to six people recognized for making Springfield a better place.
