South Africa, on the other hand, are playing their final test match before the ICC WTC 2023-25 final against Pakistan at Newlands Cricket Ground. The game is scheduled to end on January 7. The Proteas will then play the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 before facing Australia for the ultimate test glory.

Australia claimed a decisive victory over India in the fifth Test in Sydney on Sunday to seal a 3-1 Border-Gavaskar series triumph and earn themselves a spot alongside South Africa at the ICC World Test Championship Final 2025 at Lord’s in June.

South Africa and Australia will contest the third World Test Championship final after the latter defeated India in Sydney to claim a 3-1 series win in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The match will be played at Lord's from June 11 to 15.
