Snow should start to wrap up by parts of the afternoon- but blowing snow is possible as more of those wintry wind gusts stick around. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of our region that will go in affect at 1am on Sunday and last until 7pm.

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut could get a plowable snowfall Sunday as a winter storm moves through the region.Winter storm watches have been issued for portions of the Tri-State Area and are likely to expand or upgrade to warnings.

Sunshine has been building in from west to east which will lend to a quieter afternoon and evening. Clear skies initially will take temperatures from the upper teens and low 20s today to the low to mid teens tonight. Clouds will start to build after midnight ahead of an incoming clipper system Thursday.

Sunday will be one of the warmer days on our forecast, with temps reaching the mid 30s - meaning some of the snowpack will be melting as well as some ice. Watch out for falling ice in our area but the sunshine spilling out will help melt some side roads and sidewalks as well.
