The reason behind Ruben Amorim’s decision to freeze Marcus Rashford out of his Manchester United first-team plans has reportedly emerged. Rashford scored two goals in Amorim’s first three games in charge at Old Trafford but now appears to have been deemed surplus to requirements.

Ruben Amorim has admitted that “everybody at Manchester United is too comfortable” following his side’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon. Goals from Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo helped the Red Devils end a run of four consecutive losses in all competitions,
