SAN ANTONIO — Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is unlikely to play against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said. Morant, who is dealing with right foot soreness, was listed as questionable on Thursday's injury report ahead of a nationally televised contest against the Spurs.

Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Santi Aldama. Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed 19 points in the game. It was an all-around team performance that the Grizzlies will be looking to replicate in Friday's rematch.

Morant has had several injuries over the past two seasons, and hopefully, this doesn't become a regular thing for one of the young, budding stars in the league. It will be interesting to see what his availability looks like closer to game time.
