TNT head coach Chot Reyes bared that the Tropang Giga management and Mikey Williams “have not spoken in a while,” almost two years after the guard’s contract was terminated. TNT terminated the contract of Williams after they had a standoff on its renewal prior to the 2023 PBA Commissioners’ Cup.

With five straight wins, Houston (27-12) currently ranks No. 2 in the West, and that’s drawing praise for GM Rafael Stone and head coach Ime Udoka.

Unrivaled, the new 3-on-3 women's basketball league founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, is set to tip off on Friday, Jan. 17. The games will be broadcast across TNT, truTV and Max, with accompanying pregame and postgame shows from TNT's studios.

Williams last played with TNT during the PBA Governors' Cup Finals of 2023 where he was named Finals MVP. Since then, he has not played in the PBA. While Williams said he misses playing with the Tropang Giga, the former TNT star declined to comment whether there are ongoing talks for his return.

DESPITE Mikey Williams returning to the country to revive his once budding playing career, there has been no communication with the team that owns his PBA rights.

The studio show will be built around former WNBA MVP Candace Parker, former WNBA All-Star Renee Montgomery and host Lauren Jbara, with appearances from Lisa Leslie, who will also serve as a game analyst. Taylor Rooks, Allie LaForce, Stephanie Ready and Ros Gold-Onwude will work as game reporters.

MIKEY Williams was at courtside for TNT’s game against Barangay Ginebra then sounded as if a return to the PBA ballclub is no longer far-fetched.

What used to be a long shot now seemed closer to reality as Mikey Williams admitted his openness to donning a TNT uniform in the PBA once again.
