Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's innovative golf project TGL got off to a roaring start earlier this week after hosting its inaugural fixture, with millions of fans tuning in to prove the Irish golfer was spot on with his prediction.

He made the first birdie in TGL history. And with that, the indoor golf competition that Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy had envisioned for years was finally underway.
