Coming off the bench this season, Jake Haener is 14 of 29 for 177 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions.
Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi already announced that second-year backup Jake Haener would make his first NFL start Sunday at Caesars Superdome. The Saints also activated defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon off the physically unable to perform list and placed linebacker D’Marco Jackson (ankle) on injured reserve. Kpassagnon will make his season debut after tearing his Achilles in April.
