The Trojans strung together a four-game win streak and brought life back to the season.Although he was tasked with rebuilding the roster from scratch, USC coach Eric Musselman has been able to establish foundational pieces in his first year at the helm of the Trojans.

The USC Trojans saw their four-game win streak come to an end vs. the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday night at the Galen Center. Michigan came out firing from three early, and then controlled the final minutes of the game in the paint to win 85-74.

Wisconsin and USC are set to tip-off at 3 p.m. ET, 2 p.m. CT on the Big Ten Network. The Badgers are in search of their seventh consecutive victory and fifth-straight in conference play. They may need their top form in order to achieve that result.

Wesley Yates III played his heart out in a 19-point effort, but the Trojans had no answer for Michigan 7-footer Danny Wolf in USC’s 85-74 loss to the Wolverines.

USC checks in at 78th overall in KenPom and isn’t particularly impressive on either side of the ball (95th on offense, 81st on defense). The Trojans beat up on poor non-conference opponents and blew out Washington (85-61) but lost each of their three most difficult games (Oregon by eight, New Mexico by 10, Saint Mary’s by 35).

With conference superiority arguments raging, the USC Trojans and coach Lincoln Riley added to the Big Ten's impressive record over the SEC in 2024 with wins over the LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies.
