Fort Worth police have arrested a suspect accused of shooting a man who confronted him as the suspect burglarized a vehicle on New Year’s Day, officials said Friday. Officials identified the suspect as 33-year-old Kenyan Deon Buchanan, according to a police statement.

Detectives are investigating the first homicide of the year in Fort Worth. A man was killed and a woman was detained.

The Fort Worth Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 76-year-old man. Eddie Bryant was last seen on Dec. 24 wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, police said on a social media post. Bryant is described as Black, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black and gray hair.

A man has been arrested in connection to a Christmas morning homicide, according to the Pueblo Police Department.
