The Atlanta Police Department says it is increasing security after the attack early this morning in New Orleans that resulted in the deaths of at least 10 people and dozens of injuries, including two police officers.

Following the New Year's Day attack in New Orleans that left 10 dead and 35 injured, heightened security can be expected at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News saw increased security measures and a bomb-sniffing canine outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium as fans arrived for the Chick-fil-A peach bowl. Police said the activity was a response to the tragedy that happened in New Orleans early Wednesday morning where 15 people were killed and dozens of others were injured.
