Bob Uecker, who transformed his futility as a baseball player into a successful second career as a baseball broadcaster, humorist and comic actor in television, film and commercials, died Jan. 16 at 90.

The Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster enjoyed mocking his unremarkable playing career that preceded a legendary life behind the mic.

The team announced Uecker's death Thursday morning, calling it "one of the most difficult days in Milwaukee Brewers history."
