San Francisco leaders reaffirmed its status as a sanctuary city on Tuesday as the Trump administration vows to make good on campaign promises for increased immigration enforcement.

A highlight is the Newcomers Health Program, which provides health exams and support services to refugees and victims of trafficking who live in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties.

Local 87, the union representing 6,000 janitors in the private sector, said federal agents went to multiple downtown office buildings late Friday afternoon, but that building security kept them from entering.
