Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar weighed in on young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal’s unfortunate run-out during the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).Speaking on Star Sports, Gavaskar explained that the mix-up between the India opener and Virat Kohli could have been avoided hadn't the former spent his seconds watching the fielders.

Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was run out for 82 after a terrible mix-up with senior partner Virat Kohli in the final session of Day 2 at the MCG. Jaiswal missed a well-deserved hundred at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

During the second day of the Boxing Day Test between India and Australia, Yashasvi Jaiswal appeared in excellent form, reaching fifty off 81 balls. However, a mix-up with Virat Kohli led to Jaiswal's run-out,

Sunil Gavaskar said that although it was a "risky single," Virat Kohli would have made his ground had he run on Yashasvi Jaiswal's call.

Virat Kohli, who put together 102 runs for the third wicket with Yashasvi Jaiswal, was dismissed for 36 off 86 balls on Day 2 of the India vs Australia fourth Test at MCG.
