Christopher Nolan has shared news of his new project. The prolific and beloved filmmaker will be sharing his own take on "The Odyssey," the ancient Greek poem accredited to Homer following Odysseus' journey home following the Trojan war.

“Christopher Nolan’s next film The Odyssey is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026,” the statement read.

Nolan has been an IMAX enthusiast for years, going back to “The Dark Knight,” and has made his last three films exclusively using large format film and the highest resolution film cameras
