The Eagles are preparing for the NFC Divisional round and announced five roster moves on Tuesday, including placing star linebacker Nakobe Dean on injured reserve. Dean was carted off in the second half of Philadelphia’s 22-10 win over the Packers in the wild-card round.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed linebacker Nicholas Morrow to the practice squad on Tuesday following Nakobe Dean's season-ending injury. The team also placed Dean on injured reserve. Dean suffered a torn patellar tendon in his knee in Philadelphia's 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round of the playoffs on Sunday.

With Oren Burks likely to assume the starting linebacker role and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. expected to see more playing time in Dean’s absence, the Eagles not only need experienced depth in case of further injuries within the position group but also someone to fill key special teams assignments.
