With strong winds, dry conditions and no immediate end in sight, analysts project total economic losses of $50 billion to $150 billion.

The Palisades Fire, the largest in the area, burned over a thousand structures, including many homes in the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood, west of Malibu. The Eaton Fire, the second-biggest fire, is burning in northern Los Angeles, near Pasadena.
