Flurries are flying Wednesday morning. However, that’s all these snowflakes will amount to today. New accumulating snow will hold off until Friday. A fair amount of cloud cover is still hanging around central Indiana.

Clouds return tonight for a low of 12°. Thursday will have relatively similar temperatures with a high of 27°. However, skies will be much cloudier as a weak cold front

Friday is a WAVE Weather ALERT DAY as a storm system brings more impactful winter weather to the region. Significant snow accumulations are possible, especially in areas along and south of the Parkways. A Winter Storm Watch is in place in those spots.

KOCO Meteorologist Michael Armstrong says lows tonight will be near 15° with wind chills around 5° above zero and highs tomorrow in the mid 30s. Snow chances will increase on Thursday, but amounts will likely remain light with the exception of southeast Oklahoma.

Later today will be the chance for some very light snow by way of lake effect snow off Lake Michigan. Most places will not see any new snow fall, those who do can expect less than an inch of total accumulation.
