The drama surrounding Jimmy Butler with the Miami Heat continues to dominate the NBA news. The latest is the Heat are still trying to retain Butler despite him requesting a trade. The Heat even released a statement saying they are willing to trade him but a report from Five Reasons Sports Network said they are exploring options to keep him.

Following Jimmy Butler’s postgame comments where he indicated he would like to be traded from the team, the Miami Heat have suspended the star forward for seven games, adding that the team will consider trade offers for 14-year veteran.

Sources inform Shams Charania and Brian Windhorst of ESPN that the 6-foot-7 swingman out of Marquette hasn't budged on his behind-the-scenes request to be traded away from the Heat this year, after failing to come to terms on an extension agreement during the 2024 offseason.
